What is ALICE?
ALICE is an object-oriented programming software. One of the great features of this program is that it is open source. That means that you can use it for free!
In this module we will use Alice. This program is freeware and can be used to create computer programs.
For this module we will use the text Learning to Program with Alice by Wanda P. Dann, Stephen Cooper and Randy Pausch. There are a limited number of these texts in the school. Ask if you should sign one out from the library or use a classroom copy to work with for this module. If there are many students in your class working on this module at one time you may need to share the books.
