Constructing Your Web Site

Once you have finished conceptualizing your web site, it is time to construct.  The first thing you will need to do is merge the Home Page Construction Set form to your current logged in settings file.
To do this, just double-click on the 2152005_82020_0.png file found within the Home Page Construction Kit V3 folder.  2152005_82234_0.jpgWhen you do this, you will be presented with this dialog box.  Click on Update to merge the form.

Now that you have done this, you have the ability to use the new form.
If you do not already have a Home Page Folder (may be called My Web Site) then you need to choose the following from the File Menu

to have your Home Page Folder Created.
Note: On some systems, your Home Page Folder will be called "My Web Site".

With your Home Page or "My Web Site" folder open, choose again from the

File Menu
2152005_82301_1.jpg
2152005_82334_2.jpgThis will create a new, blank Home Page Construction Kit document within your Home Page folder.

Throughout this document, we will be building our site following the "Jo Schmo" template that was conceptualized at the end of the Conceptualizing Your Web Site document.  Since this will be our main page, we will rename it as "Home Page" in the Page Link Name field - 03012003_14104_2.png

Each new page will be duplicated from a Profile page that will be discussed further on.  This Profile page duplicates most of the features (excluding content) on the main home page document.  Our task now is to create the main page and then duplicate it as our Profile page for all future pages.  The next few documents will step you through each of the tabs on the Home Page Construction Kit form.
